I heard about the red tide last week at Fort Ross and Gerstle. It looks like it's killed off a ton of abalone. It was just in the Press-Democrat this week and there's some pics and some info. at http://www.californiadiver.com.

It looks like a huge hit against abalone diving may be coming. I wonder if theyll close the season early?
