Bonaire Trip August 2011, with pictures |
Posted by Rick_Coleman on October 31, 2011 at 16:36:14: In August, my wife Susie and I went to Bonaire for our eighth visit. We’ve been a little delayed posting pictures this year as we got sidetracked with a bunch of different things – including the blue whales! We still need to do captions, but our pictures are now posted at: www.ricksusie.com Here’s some select images from this trip: 50/50 Bar – Caribbean Reef Squid: Toothy Grin: Head On: One night dive, little bait fish swarmed our lights and several tarpon followed us into the shallows for a fun feeding frenzy: Susie got one with it’s mouth open with her point and shoot and shutter delay: A box crab with lunch: The king and his throne: Lizardfish: Sharknose Goby: There was a section of one coral head that looked like fluorescent green: One of Susie’s flounder shots: Bluestriped Grunt: Susie found this puffer being cleaned: Hawkfish and purple vase: Post Larval Lizardfish: Froggy: Needlefish Reflection: Cleaner Shrimp: Peppermint Shrimp: Threesome: Goldentail Moray: Lettuce Sea Slug: Susie’s Super Macro (you can see the eyes) Another Susie Super Macro: We also went to Bonaire in 2010, but didn’t post a trip report here at diver.net
Decorator Crab with Eggs: A rare Bonaire find, Susie found and photographed this Learchis Poica Nudibranch: This is a Hitchhiker Anemone and Stareye Hermet: Feeding Eagle Ray with Trunkfish looking for scraps: Blue Headed Wrasse and Tube Sponge: Slipper Lobster: Another Susie find – a Mantis Shrimp:
