Oh no! The wife and I were talking about clamming at Pismo and reliving some great memories from 30 years ago. I had no idea they were gone.

It's funny (odd not humorous) but if people were to blame there would have been an uproar and I would have certainly heard about it, but since the cute little furry critters over-fished the place, it remained off our radar down here in L.A.

Maybe we need to restore the clam beds by making fur coats again?

Hmmmmm.
