I enjoy long fins for SCUBA as well as free diving. They're comfortable to me, more so then Jets or splits.
If you're getting 35'' foot dives with stock fins, you'll be great with a pair of long fins.

Adding ten feet of dive depth with a long fins? Absolutely!

35' with stock fins is admirable ;~).... BUT don't discount "black out factors and buddies"...
I like MORE buddies with me if i'm freediving.
