| Fluorescing Pandalus danae (Dock Shrimp, Coon-Stripe Shrimp) |
|
Posted by Chris on December 21, 2011 at 20:00:56: As part of the December Sea Divers trip aboard the Peace I made a night dive at Fourney's Cove on the West end of Santa Cruz Island, California. Even though the air outside was very cold I decided to go becasue I wanted to take fluorescence pictures. On this dive I came across many Pandalus danae (Dock Shrimp, Coon-Stripe Shrimp). I managed to get several nice pictures of them fluorescing when illuminated with UV light.
