Brent & I worked on diver in photo shots last weekend at Santa Cruz Island. It was a great day. We unexpectedly met a buddy from our weekly night dives, celebrated the certification of his nephew at a mere ten years of age, and chatted with a few members of the Pacific Explorers. What a small world!

There were long chains of salps everywhere.

I was drawn to this bat star because it was an unusual shade of purple and it had an extra arm.

Though there was no kelp at Pedro Point, the reefs were colorful and the 30 foot visibility was a treat.

Thanks to the Spectre for great service and barbecue. Ice cream and brownies in the hot tub at the end of the day completed the relaxation I needed after a long week. Thanks also to Eco Dive Center for organizing this trip. Many thanks to Brent for the invitation.
