They are very nice tanks. If I did not already own some I might consider it. It is my favorite tank for beach diving.

I think your 10 lb weight drop is a bit high, but not far off.

At 500 psi an Al80 is about 5 lbs. positive. That HP80 is about 2½ lbs. negative at 500 lbs. Thus if you are switching from an Al80 to that tank a 7 or 8 lb change is about right.
