Last Sunday March 4, 2012 I went to Ship Rock & Emerald Bay aboard the Great Escape.

There were many Sea Lions and hoards of Kelp Flies handing out at Ship Rock.

The water temperature at Ship Rock was about 57°F. The visibility was a bit murky near the surface but opened up nicely at 90 feet.

After two dives we moved to Emerald Bay. The water here was a much cooler 52°F;.

There were many squid eggs covered in algae.

There were quite a few Navanax out searching for a meal.

Even the Mantis Shrimp were out picking at the squid eggs.

Theere were small jellies and salps drifting as well

It was a nice day of diving. Something I have not done enough of lately.
