Please tell me if these cute little Otters voraciously eat Crustaceans like Lobsters. Kind of ridiculous if we get closed out of areas to hunt bugs and they come in and wipe it clean of bugs. This brings up an interesting argument. what is better, a human taking 50 bugs per season or an Otter taking 50 lobster. Despite being cuter than I am, they are still killing Marine life. I was wondering, because I think there are not many bugs in their current habitat, if they move down to So Cal will they switch over to eating Lobster and crab, or will they consume mostly things like Urchins which could be beneficial to kelp forests. I would also add that this whole discussion is only relevent if the Otter really establishes populations in the hundreds or thousands down here, not just a few stragglers that may just be lost.
