In Homo-Sapiens evolutionary history were braichiators or
"tree swingers" such as modern day gibbons. A specie in that
ecology requires not only hand, arm, and shoulder development for swinging from branch to branch, but also a very acute stereo
vision for proper orientation and landing. This is the case for
all simians and so the visual ability of a gorilla is second only to that of a human, birds not excluded.
