I appreciate comments about accurate history. However, I picked up a color 3R's 2012 Schedule on March 24 at the AOP open house, and this flyer clearly says "Los Angeles County Scuba Instructors". In my opinion, "Underwater" is a better term from an historical and accuracy point of view. I will mention your comment to Jess as he may want to change the future wording of his 3R's brochure.
I just checked and the wording on the 3R's website is exactly what you suggest.
