This is all I found - very cryptic. LA County hasn't run this program in all the years I've seen it... its been the dedicated alumni volunteers who've kept it running over the years... all LA County did was to send a token representative to ADP (several of whom could not scuba and failed to show up at times) ... this was the best and oldest training program

News and Events from the Department of Parks and Recreation

Effective immediately the Department of Parks and Recreation has resumed operational control and management of all LA County Underwater programs such as ADP and UICC. LA County Scuba will continue to operate as an Alumni and historical entity of the Los Angeles County Underwater Unit and will also provide underwater training courses under NAUI guidelines with the rich training standards of LA County programs of the past.

For current information on ADP and future UICC courses as well as replacement card procedures and Instructor renewal processes, please direct those inquires directly to the Department of Parks and Recreation at this new email address:

We at LA County Scuba will continue to support the underwater programs of Los Angeles County and will provide more information as it becomes available.
