What I did like about the SL4 was its switch - easier to use than the screw on/off, especially with heavier gloves. Used to carry it on day dives and as a secondary at night. For a multi-day trip I had to take back-up batteries, but that was the Xenon. LED is the way to go. Nick Icorn gave us a couple Pelican MityLites that we now use as emergency secondaries just because we can stash them and forget we have them until needed.
