Diablo Peak (that sounds a little better than Devil's Peak) is the tallest
mountain on Santa Cruz Island and all the Channel Islands for that matter.
It always impressed me as one of the driest, most inhospitable places I
have seen. That was OK, I usually was looking at it after a great day of
diving at Santa Rosa Island. ... Yah, I'd climb it given the chance. The
view would be spectacular.
