I found a story about Frank Rodecker when he rowed out to collect a "UFO" off Redondo Beach.
One minor correction, though. Bubbles was the Pilot whale at Marineland. A fiberglass replica of her graced the entrance to Marineland for many years. After 1987 I saw it many times laying in the grass behind the P.V. City Hall. The last I heard, it is now in someone's backyard.
Orky and Corky were the Killer whales at Marineland. After they were stolen...I mean moved to SeaWorld their names were changed to Shamu and Namu.
