For a fast look see tourist dive many choose Virgin Island Diving Schools (VIDS) which is located at the base of the cruise ship pier in St Thomas. VIDS was one of the first dive operations established in the the US Virgin Islands many years ago by LA Co UW instructor and OC resident Marv Ellis. Marv sold the operation probably 15 or more years ago an went into full retirement, but last visit and last report still in operation. I always received the VIP RX therefore never experienced the VIDS tourist dive..It consists of being loaded on to a special dive truck, transported to Cokie Beach and make a very shallow dive and returned to VIDS in time for the cruise ship sailing.
