On a very short notice, Saturday afternoon just returning from a dive, I was invited to join the Ocean Defenders Alliance look for a reported new net on the Olympic. It wasn't there. The Olympic sits in 95' for water, and is 3.5 miles outside of the LA Harbor enterance. She was a fishing barge that was mysteriously sunk by a Japanese freighter, just prior to WWII. It was rumored that it was purposely sunk so a Japanese submarine could hide next to.
