thur night dive |

We made a night beach dive north of the closure in Laguna Beach to look for some flatfish. Conditions were nice, 66 degree water temp in the shallows, down to 63 degrees at 30' on the outer reefs. Vis was up to 25' over the shallow reefs, but dropped to 10' in the deeper cold water. Once again the shallows along the beach had Salp chains and jellyfish but it was much warmer. We saw schools of Mini Mackeral and Croakers, all big Halibut food, but we saw no legal fish. Good diving in warm water, a good summer dive.
