Good thing you couldn't get air at Sport Chalet, I have had tanks filled at the Sport Chalet by my office (La Canada) a couple of times (just because they are convenient, Dive N Surf is my LDS) and have always found they are only 2/3 full when I use them, the kids they have working behind the counter just fill em up as fast as they can and I think it's a corporate policy that they don't have water tanks to cool them when filling.
