The Rancho Store I think still has air. They were an ememrgency source when I was in need. Their fills were traditionally recreational use only, 2600 to 2800 psi on an Al80. Many times their compressors were not working so it was hit or miss. When the compressors were working the fills were quite slow so it allowed for some store shopping time. There was no such thing as "running out to get air and I'll be right back".
As long as Sport Chalet was at least sometimes reliable as place to get what I needed, I rarely said anything much in criticism. It was clear to me when I walked in the other day that the enthusiasm for their scuba department has dwindled to almost none. It is sad.
