It seems people are fairly passionate about this topic. Dive boats are great. As owner of a Southern California dive business we chartered and will charter dive boats 13 times in 2012. My customers like it for the modt part. I have had some get seasick however, and that is unfortunate. I also have sponsored 31 weekends on Catalina Island, and that experience is great as well. We have brought over 1000 people to the island this year, I find our industry and more importantly my business requires I do both. Casino Point is absolutely not the best destination for experienced divers in Souuthern California, I believe we would all agree with that. However, many of my clients choose Casino Point for the VOLUME of diving they can do. If motivated, you can easily get 5 dives in on Saturday, including night dives. There is no single day dive boat has that ability that I am aware of. In addition, I love bringing my new divers there. There can be independence WITH some supervision. I know I like that and so do my clients that are new divers. Just my .02 cents. Thanks, Brett
