Thanks Sheller. I took the tank in yesterday and it looks to be a 1958 US Divers. Very clean. We were trying to figure out if the threads in the tank were tapered. There is a newer 1/2 in. Sherwood valve that fits fine in the tank, but only screws in so far. Did any of these US Divers tanks have straight threads? If not, I think the valve will work fine. The valve doesn't go in all the way- maybe 3/4 of an inch. Thanks for the info. Brian Xavier Visalia
