Eric - I dove from the Spectre out of Ventura several times with horse collar, backpack and SP/Depth guage with stop watch using USN tables for RN. Did not have a double hose or J valve, though.

They're also cool with your steel plate which I prefer to dive with... either horse collar or razor BC.
