If what I am gather from these photos is correct. You all saw a beautiful creature, in this case the oarfish. You proceeded to catch it and place it in the hot sun. Then, in the final picture, it appears your mercy has come to late, as we see the dead oarfish floating lifelessly on the surface. What a tragic and deeply troubling event.
