The next General Meeting will be Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at 7 p.m. at Round Table Pizza, 4330 Redondo Beach Blvd. (just east of Hawthorne Blvd. in the Northpoint/CVS Shopping Center) in Torrance, where all our general meetings are held. Click on http://www.seadivers.org/meetings.htm for a map.

March 5. Joe and Kathy Kalohi will present a program about diving for fossils off the North Carolina coast. In June 2012, Joe and Kathy had a chance to dive cargo ships and a submarine. Later they dove for fossils and for fossil shark teeth. They have pictures, videos and a couple of display cases of fossils including megalodon shark teeth to share. April 2. Michael Schaadt, director of the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium, will talk about Blue Water Diving. More about Michael marine biology experience is available if you click on http://www.medusozoa.com/msschaadt.html.

May 7. Jonathan Blake will present a program about diving in the Lembeh Straight in Indonesia. This area represents the pinnacle in muck diving with many unusual animals living in rich proximity. June 4. Bob Meistrell will present a program about the history of Dive 'N Surf http://divensurf.com/, Body Glove http://www.bodyglove.com/heritage/ and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Body_Glove and diving in the South Bay area. Bob is the co-founder of Dive 'N Surf and Body Glove, so he is in a unique position to tell us the inside stories about his life adventures. This will be a fantastic presentation by a diving pioneer.
