Explain to me then why the Sea Lion population has exploded since the MMPA. If our oceans are so devoid of life, how have their numbers exploded. Theory, they have reached maximum density and now are starving out. Perhaps we should not waste so much money Rehabing every sick or dying Pup that washes up on the beach as if they are an endangered species. If we do not harvest the next metric ton of Sardines, maybe a few hundred more Sea Lions will survive, then the population will be 300,000 instead of 280,000. I love the cute critters lust like you, I just happen to think they are overpopulated and those numbers will eventually thin out.
