"If we do not harvest the next metric ton of Sardines, maybe a few hundred more Sea Lions will survive, then the population will be 300,000 instead of 280,000."

The only emotion shown here is that of the person who would make such a callous and uninformed statement.

I do see more sea lions in the inner waters than i have seen in th past years. If you spend time offshore, you are aware of activites that may set these transitions in motion...

what looks like an overpopulation in the near shore waters may be an exidus from the outer waters.
