Today's the day. And as this is written (at 7AM), all the participating boats are leaving their respective docks and heading for Catalina. But just because the boat/day portion of our event is underway, that doesn't mean we need to stop with the Challenge.

Especially not when we tell you we've funded yet ANOTHER fabulous BIBS mask, #12, this time coming from Chamber volunteer Edward Hsu. Karl says that the additional funding will allow him to consider other options for the masks, such as adding microphones (to better communicate with patients and tenders without removing the masks) and repair kits. So even though we've exceeded what we'd hoped for, the money will be put to good BIBS use.

We've also got a Gold level donation from the PCH Scuba community, who spent most of the day yesterday raising the funds through the PCH Scuba Facebook page. And we've got a Silver donation from longtime support Maja Vrvilo who says that though she's trapped by jury duty this week, she still wants to participate in Chamber Day.
