The motor banca became a familiar sight. This traditional Philippine boat is a double-outrigger canoe of simple, elegant design. With low draught and extra bamboo flotation on the outriggers, the banca slices through chop effortlessly. Although the banca is narrow, there’s plenty of room to gear up and the cameras are kept in a protected spot. I thought it made a wonderful dive boat.
