I like to see it simple, so the last Saturday of September (or first Saturday of October) makes it simpler... I like the proposal

As for the end... never understood the Wednesday logic... why not just March 15 or Monday prior to March 15? (maybe a multiday dive returningon a Tuesday?)

On another thought, it would be nice, but likley impractical, to base this on if there are egg bearing females to close / open a season (totally closed during mating / breeding). And to disallow take of lobsters over a certain size.
