Viz has not been very good in Monterey Bay for the past month. Conditions in Carmel Bay have been better. Last Saturday, however, that was reversed. Last Saturday viz below 40FT at the B/W was 10-12 FT (more in spots. Buddies at Monastery report only 5 FT. You really need to get down to 45-50 FT for good conditions on most days at the B/W wall.

It's been a bit windy in the afternoons since Sunday with a bit more than usual in-shore wave activity. That said, looking out the window (I'm just above the Hopkins Station) I do not see any more whitecaps on the Bay as of Wednesday evening. The models show seas calming through Saturday.

Regardless, the weather has been gorgeous this week.
