Bob was a remarkable and charming man, and will be sorely missed.
I still remember when Bob took me and a few other divers from the Aerospace Scuba Club out on his boat to dive for abalone off Palos Verdes, almost 40 years ago.
Bob gave a wonderful presentation to The Sea Divers on June 4. He talked about the history of diving in the South Bay, Dive 'N Surf and Body Glove, with mostly new and very interesting information. All of us at the meeting were mesmerized by Bob and the stories he told. He distributed videos about Bill Meistrell and The Foundation for a Better Life.
A couple of years ago at the Scuba Show, Bob was selling a boat with a big hole in the bottom...to make it easier for divers to exit and enter the boat!
