I got the fiberglass and aluminum pole from HomeDepot’s Diver’s GoPro Pole Department (aka Paint Department). I mounted a s/s 1/4x20 bolt at the end, to which I attached to the GoPro tripod mount. Then I wrapped a piece of acrylic around the pole, cut out for the GP. This ‘fin’ braces the GP from snapping off. I’ve had this in the water with the boat moving so fast that water was forced through the Orig. My fix for this, electrical tape over the seal.
