Hello Merry, i love that picture of the Moray! It is good to see the rockfish coming back along the coast but we are ONE RAMPAGE away from having them descimated like they were back in the early 90's.

If the live trappers come through the southern bight one more time, it could take even longer to see them come back.

The reserves were put into place to help counter the live trap fishery!

Live trapping is THE most destructive fishery in the state--they were responsible for destroying the great kelp forests at SBI and SCI.

As of now there are no laws preventing the next rampage through OUR waters..
