Belated Dive Report: Catalina aboard the Great Escape

On Sunday May 26, 2012 I went to Catalina aboard the Great Escape.

The first dive was at Torqua Springs.   I encountered a large Haliotis corrugata (Pink Abalone) and several Loxorhynchus grandis (Sheep Crab).

The next dive was at Hen Rock, and I saw another Haliotis corrugata (Pink Abalone).

The third dive was at Ripper's Cove I found a Chaenopsis alepidota (Orangethroat Pikeblenny).

The final was at yellowtail point where I saw some Lysmata californica (Red Rock Shrimp), several Juvenile Hypsypops rubicundus (Garibaldi), and a Laila cockerelli.

It was a great day of diving with excellent food on a great roomy and comfortable boat.
