Many divers lost a ton of stuff when the skiff of the Iron Eagle sank in deep water off the east end of Catalina during the Gale of the late 80's or early 90's. Could belong to any of us who were on that boat that fateful day. (The Iron Eagle is no longer around and the man that ran it was an avid rebreather diver if I remember correctly. I have often wondered if he went back on his own salvage mission afterwards - meanwhile - his insurance reimbursed us for our lost gear.....). Else wise, I lost a yellow flashlight several years ago at Bird Rock - I think I had my name on it!
