Hi Divers & Friends,

Channel Islands Dive Adventures is entering into our 5th year and it's time to give a little more back to the dive community, divers and clubs that support CIDA. We don't believe in "No profit dive trips" like you will see elsewhere or selling trips where every bunk is sold but we do believe in helping the dive community!

Did you already know that CIDA is a sponsor for the Avalon Underwater cleanup, the SoCal Shoot Out, the California Wreck Divers annual banquet and several dive clubs annual banquets? We also try and pass along any other big dive events that are held during the year and we set-up discounted warm water trips for clubs like the Channel Islands Divers, Whalers and the Antelope valley Desert Divers.

So what more can we do to help get people out diving, that is if you like something more than the same old thing?

• To support all divers that are currently active, retired or a reservist in the military by giving them a 10% discount on any SoCal CIDA trip. When signing up online through the Channel Islands Dive Adventures website use coupon code "military" for the discount and make sure you can show proof when coming along on the trip that you received the discount for.

• To give all club members of clubs that support CIDA a 5% discount on any SoCal CIDA trip. The current dive clubs that officially support CIDA through their websites and newsletters are the Channel Islands Divers (Oxnard), Whalers (Canoga Park), Paradise (Santa Barbara), Antelope Valley Desert Divers (Palmdale)and the Santa Clarita Dive Club (Santa Clarita)and the California Wreck Divers (LA area). Each club will be contacted for the correct coupon code for their members to use when signing up for a trip.

• Last but not least, Channel Islands Dive Adventures is going to start keeping a tally starting with the upcoming Wreck/Rig trip on every person who joins CIDA on a trip and at the end of the year we are going to pick three dive related charities (mainly local) and donate .50 cents per person which could add up to a sizeable donation helping our SoCal dive community.
