Funny. I wonder what that gear looked like.
My first regulator was a single diaphragm, double hose. Maybe it started out there long before I got it.
I was looking at a Sears Catalog at a friends house. On the back page was an add for full gear for $100. I said I have to do that.
I took a full 22 hour class at Cal Aquatics and got my NAUI Beginning Scuba Divers card. It's been a long fun trip since then
