If you go to that island, do NOT miss Mala Wharf in the town of Lahaina. A lot of people dismiss it as too "touristy", but Black Rock is a really good, super simple dive...and is really great at night! If you're going to be on the big island of Hawai'i, totally go do the manta night dive. There are at least 2 main operators for that experience. Jim is right...boats there are seriously expensive, and to be honest you'll get just as good of diving from the beach.
