First visit to LA

G'day divers
I'm on a business trip to LA from Australia next week (28th oct) and have found myself with a free weekend. I'd love to get some diving in, can anyone point me in the right direction? I'm looking for a pleasant guided trip (or 3!), anywhere interesting. I'll have most of my gear excepting BCD (running out of luggage space!). Cost not really an issue as I don't know when I'll get another chance to dive this part of the world. I'm an experienced rescue diver, done a lot of nitrox, cave, wreck, currents, night. I'm really into wrecks and larger sealife at the moment. I also have a variety of wetsuits so hoping someone can give me a rough estimate of the water temp this time of year so I can reduce my pack further. I'll be staying in Santa Monica but happy to jump on a train, bus or ferry.

Any tips and info would be deeply appreciated!
