Save space and just bring the 7. It gets pretty cold this time of year. The Channel Islands are some of the best diving anywhere. Catalina is great and easy. I take a dolly and carry my gear on the ferry. Check out Catalina Divers Supply for tanks, etc, and check out The Catalina Express for ticket, times-both ways about 77 dollars. The kelp forest is amazing. Laguna Beach is nice too. I'd go to Catalina if I had one weekend and one choice. It will be a day long trip plus maybe more for sure. BX
