So now that “everyone” is letting those big bulls go, let’s really help the future lobster populations by moving in another direction and letting the large females go. Frankly, males are pretty extraneous (did I say that), only need a few to breed all the available females but the females and especially the large females are “the future”. Large females are megabreeders that provide a disproportionate amount of the lobster eggs/larvae. Yes, I know we should have taken them back to the bottom and placed them in a hole (or better yet not brought them up) but this was their “Hollywood moment” for the good of the species.
