Palos Verdes Conditions are still good |
Posted by Max Bottomtime on November 09, 2013 at 19:24:30: With flat seas and decent visibility we enjoyed two dives on the south side of Palos Verdes today. Merry's Reef was calm with better than twenty feet visibility. We found a couple more species of sea stars wasting away. The usual critters were out along the west wall, including a large Mola Mola who swam away, then returned to visit Merry. In spite of a dire report of wind and snotty conditions at Marineland we decided to have a look. The kelp was standing straight up and visibility on Buchanan's Reef was twenty-five feet. The animals seem to know they now live in an MPA. Lobsters were large and plentiful, and a huge male sheephead kept checking out Kevin's fins.
