Palos Verdes Conditions are still good

With flat seas and decent visibility we enjoyed two dives on the south side of Palos Verdes today. Merry's Reef was calm with better than twenty feet visibility. We found a couple more species of sea stars wasting away. The usual critters were out along the west wall, including a large Mola Mola who swam away, then returned to visit Merry.

In spite of a dire report of wind and snotty conditions at Marineland we decided to have a look. The kelp was standing straight up and visibility on Buchanan's Reef was twenty-five feet. The animals seem to know they now live in an MPA. Lobsters were large and plentiful, and a huge male sheephead kept checking out Kevin's fins.
