Whether a dive club, a dive shop or other dive trip seeking organization, trying to schedule with the various dive charter operations is one of the tougher tasks around. This time of year particularly since this is typically the best part of the dive season. I was attempting to book dives in September back in the beginning of June for September and October trips ALL of the charter operations closest to where we wanted to go were already booked. If you are trying to dive Northern Channel Islands booking a one day charter out of del Rey, Redondo, San Pedro or Long Beach just isn't viable; you book out of Ventura, Channel Islands or Santa Barbara and try to find available dates that meet your schedule.

Peace and all the Truth boats are pretty much the only operations that do multi-day trips - Specter, Raptor and Explorer are pretty much single day trips with smaller capacity that the other operations.

Booking trips that meet charter operations availabllity, and your trip needs is damned hard and often come down to what is available that meets requirements whether it is the vessel you'd initially wanted or not. Calling someone a whore over boat availability and scheduling is way over the top and not called for. Lighten up a bit and go diving - if you can schedule a trip.
