The Catalina Marine Society's latest issue of "OceanBights" is available through the link. It has articles of interest to divers and ocean lovers.

We are looking for divers to extend our Continental Thermograph Array, especially in the Malibu area. The southern portion of the array, from Palos Verdes south is nearing completion, but the northern portion has proved to be more difficult to establish.

The CMS is also seeking financial sponsors to continue and expand our ocean acidification measurements off Catalina Island. We have an active volunteer boater program to deploy the instrumentation, but the complex sensors are costly to purchase and maintain.
