Humpbacks are THE only creature in the ocean that i actively avoid--They are impetuous and unpredictable, prone to not paying attention to where and when they jump-- Some years ago, coming home from the Cortes, i stopped to watch a few of them jumping through a kelp paddy as though they were using the kelp to wipe off barnicals or something...

They are fun to watch--from a distance...
