So.... have you named him yet?
I know about those ecological hot spots. Sometimes it is impossible to guess what makes them special, but they are
pretty easy to spot.
One thing I used to like is at the inside of Anacapa and Santa Cruz Islands (others as well) most people dive in the coves
between the points. I like to dive right on the points. They usually are rock piles and are full of fishes.
Can't wait to see a video.
