i do a lot of beach diving and some kayak diving at night. Typically we do not see any divers at our spots on thur night off the beaches, that goes for South Bay and Laguna. Perhaps some divers are taking up hoopnetting or just skipping the whole dive thing and just starting hooping. It is a small area that I see, but we noticed that we see hardly any divers out there during bug season, but I would say that every single night during Bug season there are from 2-10 people hooping a certain breakwall we dive. Opinion,,, diving seems to be down, hoopnetting is exploding.
