Nicolas island has been gusting to 61--been blowing 40+ for 3 days. this is a very rare weather event. yesterday, as the wind swung to the west, it charged straight into cat harbor--the safest anchorage in the bight was rolling whitecapps. Spindrift way up inside! This event exceeded some buoy readings going back to the 80's..
