October 2013: I published the first definitive prequel to "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" entitled "Vulcanium."

May 2015: I completed a screenplay adaptation entitled "Vulcania" as a spec script for Disney, and sought Agency representation with reasons why Disney should abandon remakes and sequels for a prequel. No reply.

February, 2016: Disney changes directions from 20,000 Leagues remakes and sequels; now they are doing a prequel slated for release in three years.

For those interested in Captain Nemo, here's the synopsis for my for-Disney spec script entitled "Vulcania." No big spoiler this; it's all founded in "Vulcanium" anyway. Enjoy the read and feel free to share.
